Teens (Ages 13+)

I offer a safe space for teens ages 13+ to express their feelings and navigate difficult situations.

Therapy can also be an opportunity for teens to discover themselves without the pressure of pleasing adults or other teens in their life.

Here are some themes that have come up in my past work with teens:

  • Learning how to take care of their emotional self

  • Learning how to make authentic, safe and self-affirming decisions

  • Navigating friendships and first romantic relationships

  • Navigating relationships with parents / attachment figures

  • Managing stress in school or home or with friends

  • Managing social media & online friendships/relationships

  • Sexuality and gender

  • Worries

The Mask You Live In
Documentary

The messages we tell our children and youth about gender are in direct conflict with our innate attachment needs for connection, love and care. This impacts their ability to build emotional bonds, access vulnerability and cope with the world as adults. This documentary analyzes the messages we give young boys and how it impacts their mental health.
